Today’s day and age, youtube has become a means of communication. Normal jacks to corporate people all use youtube. Whether to make funny videos, instructional videos, or just posting up videos, youtube serves a definite purpose…to spread the word and share.
I even discovered some of my favorite music artists on youtube. By far, youtube has grown in it’s popularity throughout the years. Of course there are other video upload sites like vimeo trying to compete, but youtube has been around a bit longer and already developed their followers…which are millions!
How great is youtube? Two guys who started a youtube account to upload comical videos of themselves gained so much noise from thousands of viewers, that they eventually got sponsored by a few clothing brands. Why? Because clothing companies benefit from these guys wearing their gear…it’s all marketing! Here are the two guys that I speak of (Note- this video is not for the closed minded):
Here is another scenario. These three guys are very musically talented. Through youtube, they have gained infinite amounts of recognition which lead to a bunch of shows and possible record deals. One of them even turned down a record deal.
In conclusion, get with the technology! Putting yourself out there on youtube can only help you!
