GlideCycle for the Injured and Disabled

March 26, 2009

Now this is something I truly am glad that was invented. The GlideCycle offers injured or disabled person’s a non-impact form of exercise. Basically you still use your legs, but you don’t have to support your body weight. I know how hard it is for the injured or disable people to exercise, so I think this is a great invention for them to get out and roam around. Priced at $1649, this is something that is definitely worth every penny. Check out the video for the inspiration!

Greenwheel Converts 10-Speed Bike Into Electric

February 27, 2009

At times we often live very close to our work place, at least I do. However, I am too lazy to purchase a bike and bike to work, so I continue to sit in my car and drive 8 minutes down the road. I’ve thought about gettin a vespa, but that’s a couple grand. I thought about getting a bike, still I have to pedal. Thanks to the people at MIT, they have developed the “Greenwheel.” You can attach the greenwheel to your wheels and it will convert the bicycle into an electric powerhouse. Okay not quiet, but you still don’t have to pedal anymore unless you want to. Pedalling will allow you go get twice the speed with the greenwheel. Something I should look into? I wish, but there is no price set for the item just yet.
