Tekken 6 Bundles

June 23, 2009

Finally, something that may compare to this years Street Fighter IV release. Hori crafted a wonderful bundle for Tekken fans which includes: Tekken 6, Tekken Joystick, and an art book. The bundle will be on sale at a variety of retailers for  $150.00.

Most likely this will be added to my collection for my PS3. I can’t wait!

DJ Hero Price Tag At $120

June 19, 2009

Like I said a few weeks ago, DJ Hero probably will have a nice hefty price tag. I was correct. The $120.00 video game is slated to release October 27th of this year. I probably would pass on this, not because of the price tag, but because of the shape of the turntable control. I’m not super impressed, but I’m sure this will be a great release for gamers everywhere.

Wii Sets Record As Fastest-Selling Console

June 15, 2009

It seems that the Wii keeps breaking records. The Nintendo Wii is now the fastest-selling console in the United States. I am not surprised by this what so ever. PS3 is a great candidate, but the Wii is much cheaper than the PS3, and in times of a recession, the Wii will win. The Xbox360 can’t compete, especially with that red ring of death (why would you spend hunderds of dollars for something that breaks?). Job well done Nintendo…hopefully the DSi wins a few awards as well.

PSP Go Will Require All New Accessories

June 8, 2009

The PSP Go, which will arrive in October, will come out with a whole bunch of new accessories that will not be compatible with the previous handheld that came before.

Therefore, this means that you will spend MORE MONEY!!!! It does look worth the money however.

Tony Hawk Ride

June 4, 2009

The controller you see above is the official skateboard controller for Tony Hawk’s Ride that is slated to release in October. It seems to be promising, but do you really have to be able to make the board spin to perform a kickflip?

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ

June 4, 2009

I guess this will be the competitor for DJ Hero. From what it looks like, Scratch: The Ultimate DJ has the better looking hardware. I think its funny how both companies are coming out with a DJ game about the same time. Competitive marketing and producting at its finest!

Wii Comes out in Black

June 4, 2009

When I first glanced at this picture I said, “look at that black beauty.” Sure it is kind of a nerdy thing for me to say, but I can not deny that the Wii in black is impressively better looking than the white! The black Wii will be available for 25,000 Yen on August 1st in Japan, however no dates have been announced for a US release. All I know is that I am glad that I got rid of my white Wii and I hope to get this one, just so that it would match with my black furniture that I’ll be getting when I move!

Close Up Of DJ Hero

June 4, 2009

Finally a close up shot of the upcoming Activision DJ Hero videogame! I’m really contemplating if I should invest in purchasing the game when available, but the DJ in me tells me this has my name written all over it! I can finally play something against my Guitar Hero pro friends and school them in what I can do.

Prototype

June 2, 2009

So yesterday while watching TV, I came across this amazing commercial.

I thought to myself, “this is a pretty insane animation.”

Then the unexpected happen…it said coming soon on PS3! Check this game out, it’s insane!

You play as Alex Mercer, who is a shapeshifting man that can mimic the appearance, skills and power of anyone he comes across. The game starts with Alex waking up in a morgue about to be dissected by two scientists. He has no idea how he ended up at the morgue or with the shape shifting capabilities. A majority of the game is Alex trying to find out what happened to him, all the while dealing with a corrupted military that is infecting the people and city with biological warfare.

This game looks very very promising and I will shell out the money for this. NO QUESTIONS ABOUT THAT! It releases sometime this month.
