iPhone Next Generate

March 31, 2009

This might be the result of the new iPhone, a flatter and even more tapered/slender version. I mean thats the norm of the companies. They come out with a big bulky item and then make it even smaller. The Playstation to the PSone, Nintendo DS to the DSi, it is only a matter of time that Apple does this to their amazing iPhone and iTouch. No matter what they do, I hope Apple iPhones will be available for T-Mobile users sometime soon!

iPod Coffee Table

March 27, 2009

I swear, people who are in design classes make the craziest thing. This was a project for a Design Technology Course. I must say that the months of work in planning and creating this piece really does show. To say it is a work of art compliments what the creator really tried to achieve, art.

Metal Gear Solid Touch For iPhone

March 19, 2009

That’s right, everyone’s favorite stealthy action game is coming to the iPhone and iTouch. Now the game is supposedly just a click and shoot kind of game like the video suggests. Toying with people’s favorite action genres is also a risky task. There will definitely be unhappy die-hard fans who are not satisfied with the gameplay because it lacks the Metal Gear Solid essentials. Click and Shoots can only be fun for a certain amount of time, we want Snake to be able to move around and hide in places and choke people!

iGiveUp: Gun Bluetooth

March 4, 2009

If you are sick of wearing your normal bluetooth headset, you can now rock an airsoft gun as your new headset. They call this the iGiveup, how ironic. You have the pull the trigger to receive the calls, listen through the barrel, and talk through the grip. I’m not saying this is a smart or dumb invention, but I do know that if a cop saw you with a gun to your head, he or she would be alarmed and call for back up. Check out the video below for details!

How many times do you wish that you could listen to your favorite tunes in the shower as you scrub away? I hope I’m not the only one out there. Now you can enjoy using your iPod with this waterproof speaker. It can either be hung or set freestanding in a safe location. Depending on price (which isn’t determined yet), I may or may not get this.

iPhone/iPod Touch in Classrooms…user density an issue?

January 12, 2009

The iPod has already been making an impact in the education sector. The iPod Touch shows to be a promising tool that can improve the classroom. Teachers all over are beginning to implement the use of the iPod Touch in their classrooms.

iPods are a great way to deliver media contents to students for extra review and practice. The iPod Touch is Wi-Fi capable, which enables users to surf for Internet resources. Also the Touch offers many applications that puts a vast amount of resources in the hands of students and teachers.

However, with the increase of usage of iPods/iPhones, user density may become a problem. But fear not, Xirrus has the answer to that problem.

In a recent discussion, garyb explained that Xirrus wireless base stations can solve the problem of user density. Check out the discussion and comments on Classroom20

With improvements in education, every school should look into how beneficial it is to use the Touch applications.
