The Benefits of Ebay

March 27, 2009

During economic times like this, we often try to hustle and look for other ways of making money, legally that is.

What I have been doing for extra cash flow for fun purposes is selling my stuff on Ebay. If you have old junk around and you don’t use it anymore, take pictures of it and post it on Ebay. If you can’t get rid of it on Ebay, then I suggest going to a place that will give you a little bit of money for your goods. And if that doesn’t work, just donate!

Being part of a clothing brand, I get to have a new wardrobe every season. What do I do with the old clothes? I either post it on Ebay or take it to my local Buffalo Exchange (they buy and sell used and new clothes there in good condition). Instead of throwing it away or donating it first, I try to get some pocket change for the goods. If I still can’t get money for it, thats when I result to donation.

I’ve sold plenty of my old shoes that I don’t ever wear on Ebay. I even sold my old game consoles and dvds. Am I hurting for cash? Not at all…but I do like that I have a lot more space in my house now since I got rid of my junk.

If you are not Ebay savy, trust me, it is simple as 1-2-3. Before you make an Ebay account, I suggest you register for a paypal account as well. Paypal is vital for you to be paid on ebay, unless you want to go historic and accept Money Orders only. Doing so will definitely decrease your number of buyers.

Also if you are looking for great deals on anything you desire, I suggest searching Ebay before you search anywhere else. Ebay usually has a lot better pricing for the products. Beware that fakes and imitations do float around on Ebay. It is also vital to save during a recession, so Ebay will help you with that.

Happy Ebay Away!
