Dog Video Friday

June 5, 2009

How can you not love a dog like this? My pomeranian does the same thing, he even likes to sit in front of my view when I’m watching TV to distract me.

Star Wars Freaks Can Dance Too, Well Kind Of

June 1, 2009

It’s sad to say that Darth Jackson’s backup dancers are better than him. How he got so far in the competition without any great talent really baffles me. I agree with Simon on this, why is he still on the show? This was entertaining to watch however!

Youtube Dog Video Friday

May 29, 2009

So since I am looking into getting a new puppy, I’ve decided to youtube types of dogs. Some of these videos that I find happen to be hilarious and even amazing.

This video is pretty cool. I tried to teach my pomeranian tricks but his attention span isn’t there for more than 2 minutes. For this yorkie to know more than a handful of tricks is pretty amazing. Enjoy!

PS. this relates to technology because it’s from youtube, so don’t question me! Just kidding, just wanted to end Friday on a happy glad note.

The End of Interop 09

May 22, 2009

This event has been one hell of a ride, you can say. To take part in this event was such an honor. I met a lot of great people, hung out and enjoyed my tech talk with companies.

One of my most memorable moments was meeting Father Robert of the Jesuits. Kind of nerdy to say, but I watch his “gadget” videos and finally got to meet the man behind the screen. He is a very humble man and kind hearted as well..also very very down to earth. Here’s a video from Interop:

I literally almost felt like a little kid at Disneyland because of this event. I guess you can attribute that feeling to receiving from toys and shirts from almost every booth. Also the Xirrus boxing ring was a show for all to watch. In result, I feel dead and tired because the event has ended, just like how you feel when you come home from a long day at Disneyland.

I hope you readers understand that I am extremely drained and tired, so I will continue my normal blogging next week! Promise to do twice as much to make up for the lost days.

Interop 2009 Las Vegas: Web 2.0 At Its Best

May 19, 2009

I would like to apologize that for the next few days, my posts will be more geared towards Interop (if I do get a chance to post that is). I am taking part as an attendee at Interop 2009 in the place that never sleeps, Las Vegas.

Coming to Interop, I realized that Web 2.0 has taken a brand new toll on companies and individuals today. Almost everybody has been twittering and facebooking about their experience with what they are doing at Interop. Some exhibitors even have a Web 2.0 section in their booth, such as Xirrus. Xirrus has one section in their amazing boxing ring booth that is just for Web 2.0. They encourage you to blog, facebook, twitter, flickr, and feed what is going on at Interop.

There are laptops everywhere and blackberries with twitter enabled. Can’t wait to fill you guys in on what’s happening next at Interop. I got here kind of late so I missed out on one of the boxing matches, but Xirrus employees have captured it on video. They said it would be on their youtube channel very soon, so keep a lookout for that!

May 4, 2009

One of my all time favorite songs is “Stand By Me.” PlayingForChange decided to record various unknown artists’ version of “Stand By Me” in a street virtual studio all around the world. This video and song version is truly amazing. I hope everyone enjoys this video like I did!

Geeks Can Sing Too

May 1, 2009

This year on American Idol, there was a contestant named Anoop Desai aka Noop Dogg. He wasn’t your average singer because he literally blew your mind. He looks like a mellow nerd, but with a splash of cool. Not only is this Indian American smart, but he has the voice and range of a great RnB singer. This just shows all kinds of people, even geeks, can be great singers too!

Tekken 6 Combo Gameplay

April 30, 2009

Enjoy this video. I know I sure do. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of Tekken 6, but still I need Street Fighter IV in my life first! Whoever is demonstrating the Tekken 6 combos is horrible. I want to get in on some of that action!

Real Life Twitter

April 30, 2009

With all the buzz about twitter, Dan of College Humor had to put out something true and funny about twitter. Some people do “twit” about the dumbest things. The best part was when Dan said “LOL!” Twits should be something relevant, useful, gives insight, or even questions that need to be answered. This was pretty on point with what I see from some people on twitter on the daily.
